Montreal, March 2017 – Faith Lift is Harry Manx’s latest release will be released April 21st via his label Dog My Cat Records. His 15th recording in as many years. This one is unique amongst all his recordings in that Harry plays a variety of guitars solo while being accompanied by the Sydney Opera Strings. The material is all drawn from previous releases with the exception of Al Greens’ ‘Love and Happiness’.

Expanding on his trademark East/West Blues sound Harry Manx has once again come up with a very unique and compelling delivery with the addition of the string quartet. Harry’s music has been described as soothing, inspiring and transcendent. All those words fit for this recording. The lush, sparse feeling of Faith Lift leaves the listener with enough space to lean deep into his music.

It’s called Faith Lift. I named it that because I’m hoping this recording will be uplifting and inspiring to everyone who hears it. It’s a recording of my guitar, my voice and the String Quartet. So simple and yet such a full sound. This is the recording that I’ve been trying to make for the longest time. The idea came together so naturally, as if it was meant to be. I recorded in Australia during my last tour with the string section from the Sydney Opera House. All the string arrangements were written, recorded and produced by my keyboardist Clayton Doley. He made my musical ideas a reality, I’m grateful for his work. It’s been said that if you listen very deeply you can hear the musician in the music, just like you can see the painter in the painting or know the poet in the poetry. This recording is me, I’m totally in it. Have a listen, enjoy. Thanks  Harry Manx
